I decided to say it like this, there is a whole story about them that I photographed.
Was it two years ago or three?
It was not remarked a lot, but it is very near my soul anyway, even today. You do not show to people holding hands or kissing tenderly, this photo speaks by itself, I think.
I bought a bunch of them and they begin to look at each other from afar already, then got more and more near each other, retired in a corner to be alone. Later, alas, as in my life, one of them got bored, and let down the other.
I imagined then him with another, not so nice, and he did wither fast, still or again thinking what the first had given him. But it was too late.
I took a photo of the withered one, lying at the food of the round, still young. But then happened the unexpected: the round too full of herself rotted from inside, while the old end all dried up, withered still lives on my selfs!
Arrived from Paris at age 73, I love London diversity, warmth and opportunities, soon 80.

What beautiful eyes!
I was born in Transylvania, in a city, an University city, old city, but this Hungarian peasant from my first trip back after many years, smiles to me, not only on this image, but also on my wall in London.
He is together with another portrait, of an old woman smiling me in Trafalgar Square in the Diwali festival.
From Bucarest's streets and markets, to London's festivals and people, from Ireland, Morocco, Sicilly, so many portraits and so wonderful meetings!
Two women, one met in London, the other in Palermo,
they smile to me with so much understanding!

A young girl just out from school in Paris, an older women selling flowers in Bucarest, they remain with me and also how we have seen each others.

Met in Marocco's small market or in Limerick, Ireland, I love taking their photos with me, and the souvenir

In a restaurant, Chinatown
Waiting alone in that restaurant in Chinatown Sunday, I found that light fascinating. The time went then very fast, also I had to wait for the meal to arrive.
I would almost like to go back, find the place, take picture of someone I know under that wonderful light.
And besides, while reading the menu, they did stay quiet, to this image is not blurred, at least not a lot!
Continuing to learn, not also about photography, but speaking about it, I decided to return to the Toastmasters International. Thirty years ago I went for two years twice a month and learned a lot, but lots of it forgotten now, needs refreshing. Other speaking technics need to be better assimilated, so I can use them without thinking too much about them.
Also, learn, again, to prepare more, improvise less.

Snow come to me
Sometimes, I miss the snow, at least its memory.
In my childhood, in my city, the snow arrived in November and stayed till March, and Christmas day we went sliding, later to ski, at least until I did not break my left leg. After that, I begun again what with fear in my guts.
I went skiting on the park's pond, often, and the snow in winter brings back happy childhood memories.
First big snow in 18 years in London, I am told, how happy! I did not have to go away, in the mountains to be able to touch or photograph it, it came to me!
It is true, the first day I was afraid to go out, but with the sunny day, yesterday, I did go slowly as it was really icy on the ground. Looking down or up, though, it is beautiful! And what a pleasure the children have of it! Now, it is their turn.

Year of the Ox
I published yesterday a photo in this blog, of a lady advertising in the middle of center London street, a Hongkong ferry. An echo arrived from Flora and her blog in French, written to my french blog. She has already learned English and is learning now French.
Living in Hongkong, Chinese, she recognized the Victoria ferry they have in their harbor, whose replica my lady in the photo was wearing around her, in central a London street.
What a pleasure to have a reader from Hongkong and what a good surprise too.
I went to her blog and instantly felt solidarity: I have also problems with "elle ou lui" when speaking of objects in French. Why should they have "genres"?!
It was a great pleasure to read her text, and she also taught me that "ox" is not translated, as my dictionary told me also in "boeuf" but bouffe, which is not the same animal, in fact. We are not in the year of "vache qui rit" but of an old and fericous one, as I understand now better.
Alas, I still not know in which year I was born because the Chinese calendars I found every place do not go so far! Who does know what year was 1934?

Chinese new year faces
So many great people and interesting faces from yesterday, most in Chinatown, some even at Trafalgar Square, although it was almost empty in the morning.
As I arrived too early, I went in the National Portrait Gallery, there still is on a Award winning portrait photo corner. Most of them, look like paintings! But perhaps, that was the concourse about?
The young girl here is not of Chinese origin, but so pretty with the big winter hat and the umbrella probably just bought!
And inside a shop, I found a Chinese Gioconda, a beauty à la Leonardo da Vinci's picture.

In the middle of the street, a great smiling lady distributing prospectus for the Hong Kong transports!

There was lot of red, and lot of colors all around me and great people. As there were many (and could have been even pickpockets) I went without a bag and with minimum of things and had only great time!
Still lots of photos to study, but the snow is calling me out!

Chinese new year in London
As we entered the year of the Ox, the snow arrived in London, together, almost with the Premier of China.
Not many people on the streets, and this who were there tried to dress warm, as I had two polewers on me, I was not cold, but I did not stay in a place, moved, walked almost all the time.
But these women who had to stay in a place, waiting for the parade who did not arrive finally and making "order", felt the cold as you can see.

Lots of people and photographes and red decor in Chinatown were the most action was this morning, at least.
